For decades, the said television will also be the world’s first taste of Swedish TV Technology. The Android TV is set, aptly, to enter beta-testing in early Summer, and other than size and price, tech-specs are still to be confirmed. The first model to be release will have a 42-inch high-definition LED screen and would cost between $2,000 and $2,500 ($2,700 and $3,400). This will be followed by 47 and 55-inch models.

About People of Lava
We invent, design and make high-quality, design LCD-TVs and LED-TVs, remote controlled wall-mounts and brackets, remote controlled table-stands and floor-stands and other TV and home-electronics related products.

The Scandinavia television from People of Lava is based on Google’s operating-system Android(TM). It is undersized, efficient, fast, power-saving operating-system. One thing good about this, it is “Open Source”, which means that 1000’s and 1000’s enthusiastic experienced developers around the world will make “apps” (applications) for the TV which you can download and install. So anticipate a continuous flow of new cool applications to furnish you even more to view through your window! An internet-connected TV is surely a Good Thing, offer you to access through the web YouTube, Netflix and Hulu to stream straight to the big screen. The use of Android, is also seems smart: it already works, it’s free and it is all about the internet. But after video-streaming, and perhaps a news or weather screensaver, we don’t see a whole lot point in other services. It is also said that People of Lava TV will come with a browser, Google Maps, and you’ll be able to grab more apps (Twitter and Facebook head the list). And for sure this will requires a keyboard, and if you’re going to grab a keyboard, why not just grab your laptop, cellphone or even iPad off the coffee table? This has the added advantage of not annoying everyone else in the room. Web-TV is the future, and it is not just to be considered as a gigantic-screened PC.
